Volunteer Spotlight - Candi Busekros

Today, we shine the spotlight on Candi Busekros!

Candi has been a volunteer with MarineParents since March 2019. She holds the following positions with MarineParents.

Group Leader 1st Battalion Delta San Diego
Group Leader 2nd Battalion Fox San Diego
Group Guide 1st Battalion Alpha San Diego
Assistant Group Leader Deployment Fleet group
Community Representative Presenter for Region 4 Illinois

We asked Candi to share her personal experience as a volunteer:

"I decided to volunteer after my son was finishing up with his boot camp. I was inspired after being helped by some amazing volunteers throughout my journey. It was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made! Getting to be a small part of this journey with the families is such an honor. It's amazing to see the growth in our recruits and their families. It's great to not only be there emotionally for these families but to also educate them about the Marine Corps. And a bonus..I've got to meet some of the most amazing people that I not only get to volunteer with but have become such great friends with. If someone would like to volunteer..I would highly encourage you to do so! It is by far one of the best decisions you'll ever make. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll show love to those that are going through the same thing that you are/have gone through. I am and will always be grateful for MarineParents!"
