Our MarineParents volunteers are at it again! Their time and dedication is endless! For the month of May, our volunteers clocked 5865 hours! OOH-RAH!

MarineParents is so proud to have a group of almost 200 volunteers that dedicate their time to support YOU, our Marine families, in all stages of the corps, from poolee to veteran.

With 5865 hours in the month of May, that's the equivalent of 33 full-time employees! Let's shout out an OOH RAH for their generosity and caring! Thank you to the following volunteers for their contribution to our support groups.

David Mohr

David Mohr

David is the Coach for 1st RTBN (Recruit Training Battalion) San Diego, Group Leader for Bravo San Diego, Kilo Parris Island, and the Dads group. He is also the Assistant Group Leader for Golf San Diego and a moderator for our recruit Chat night. In May, David volunteered a total of 142.76 hours!

Allison is a Group Guide in 1st Battalion Bravo Parris Island and Delta Parris Island. In May, Allison volunteered a total of 121.62 hours!

Joan is the Coach of 3rd Recruit Training Battalion San Diego as well as the Assistant Group Leader in our Grandparents group. In May, Joan volunteered a total of 96.51 hours!

Nicole Edmundson

Nicole is the Manager of our Stages groups (Marine MoMs, Dads, Grandparents, Siblings and Girlfriends and Wives), Assistant Coach for Regions (States), Assistant Coach for Stages, Group Leader Marine Corp Base Quantico, and Group Leader for Region 4 States Iowa and Wisconsin. In May, Nicole volunteered a total of 120.63 hours!

Diana is the Group Leader for our SOI MCT W (School of Infantry, Marine Combat Training West) group. In May, Diana volunteered a total of 117.3 hours.

Alexandra Carapia

Alexandra has been a volunteer with MarineParents since March 2019. She is currently a Group Guide for our MoMs group as well as Group Guide for one of the 3rd Battalion recruit groups, India San Diego.

Why did you decide to volunteer with MarineParents?

"I want to pay it forward. I would have been lost without MarineParents."

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with MarineParents?

"Knowing parents are at ease because we are here for them and they don't have as much stress."
