2020 Volunteer Appreciation

At this time, we want to recognize our Facebook volunteers!

There are almost 200 MarineParents.com volunteers across the United States with 135 of those volunteers working in our Official MarineParents.com Facebook groups. These volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the members of our Facebook groups are informed and supported through every stage of their son or daughter's career in the Corps.

Our Facebook volunteers go through 5 phases of training and mentoring, a 40-hour commitment, where they learn about the Marine Parents organization, our philosophy, policy, procedure, the tools available to them, etc. Our volunteers are well-prepared and dedicated, not only to the organization but also to those who look to the organization for up-to-date information that could impact their recruit or Marine.

We have a chain of command for our volunteer structure, similar to the Marine Corps, to ensure there is order and so each volunteer has someone they can go to if they have a question or concern. The chain includes Coach, Assistant Coach, Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, Group Guide, and Volunteer in Training (VIT).

Group Leaders to VITs are responsible for moderating the groups, answering questions, making posts, etc. These volunteers do an outstanding job ensuring that accurate information is passed on to our members. They also keep the members engaged with interactive posts that give the members a chance to Connect & Share® with each other.

The Coaches and Assistant Coaches have those same responsibilities but additionally, they are responsible for training the new volunteers. They will also monitor their respective groups to ensure everything is running smoothly and they relay any new information that comes from our corporate office as well as new questions from group members.

Our Facebook volunteers do a lot of great work and their dedication to this organization and members of our Facebook groups is amazing! We couldn't reach the large audience that we do without their tireless commitment. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything you do!

God Bless and Semper Family!
