Rachael is an Occupational Health Nurse based in Pensacola, Florida. She is married and has four children, with one son residing in Australia, while her other three children continue to live in the US. Her middle son is a newly minted Marine from Parris Island. Rachael comes from a family with a rich military heritage, her great grandfather’s service makes her son the fifth generation in the military and second generation as a Marine. In her free time, Rachael enjoys engaging in anything craft-related and exploring different parts of the world. She has a hidden passion for renovating her home, although her husband isn't as enthusiastic about it.
Service has consistently played a vital role in Rachael's life, highlighted by her own service in the Royal Australian Army. Her father served in the Royal Australian Army, both of her grandfathers served during World War II, and her great-grandfather served in both World Wars I and II. When her son received notice of his shipping date, she had very little time to prepare. However, as a former military spouse, she understood the mission and ensured her poolee made it to departure on time. It was during this time that she discovered the MarineParents groups through the recruiter, and she felt immense gratitude for the support and love she received throughout her son's boot camp. Eager to give back, Rachael embraced the chance to volunteer and join a remarkable group of individuals dedicated to helping and connecting parents and loved ones as they navigate this new chapter in their lives.
