Cary is retired and lives in Needles, CA. She has been married to her best friend for 43 years. She has two and a half children. Her half is her stepdaughter. She also has 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 4 to 21. Her oldest grandson is a newly minted Marine graduating from San Diego, CA. She loves animals. She recently rescued a Chocolate Laprador. That is her spelling because her labrador is always in her lap. She enjoys crafting, diamond painting being her favorite.
Cary decided to volunteer because she wanted to "Pay it Forward." Being new to military life was very hard for her. She wanted to know everything she could. That is when Cary happened upon Marine Parents Groups. She gained so much comfort from the volunteers and all the information that they provided. She said, "It was so comforting to know that I was not alone in this new journey during Boot Camp." Cary hopes to bring that same feeling to all the new military families.
