Christen is a devoted mom to her four kids. She lives in the Pacific Northwest. She is no stranger to military life - Her stepfather was a retired Marine. Her oldest daughter and son- in-law just added Nana to her title, and Christen is absolutely in love with her granddaughter! She also has a son who passed away unexpectedly in May 2017 at the age of 14. Christen's youngest son graduated from high school last year and lives at home. He just landed a job at Boeing. Her oldest son gave her the title of a Marine MoM following his Grandfather’s footsteps. He graduated from Boot Camp at MCRD San Diego in January 2021. He met a fellow Marine, and they were married in September 2022. They are now serving together overseas and she loves being the MoM of two Marines. Her Marine is following his dream and now fulfilling God’s Calling on his life.

Christen joined MarineParents as a volunteer after her Marine completed Recruit Training. She wanted to be part of MarineParents because of all the support she received while her son was in recruit training and while he spent time in BMP & STC. She leaned on the daily posts in the groups as her son journeyed through his Boot Camp experience. Christen wanted to volunteer so she can support other recruit families and fellow Marine parents. Christen’s passion is helping those families navigate their journey. Christen has the amazing ability to make sure you do not feel alone and will always make herself available to help where and whenever she can. Christen loves Jesus, her children, her family, her friends, and her country.
