Kate has been married for over 26 yrs to Jim. She has three kids: Michelle, Lt. Daniel Mount, USAF & proud MoM to Connor, who graduated in September 2022 from MCRD San Diego. She is a brand new empty nester who is rediscovering her hobbies, such as genealogy, crafting, and baking.
As a newly retired Marching Band mom, Kate was looking for something to fill that volunteering space in her life. The Mounts aren't a military family (until now!), so she went looking for information about the Marine Corps life and everything it entails. Google led her to MarineParents.com, and the rest is history!
