National Volunteer Appreciation Week: Recognizing our Heroes
Lori Ballard and Dana Powell have each reached 4000 hours of volunteer service time with Marine Parents! Congratulations and thank you for your commitment!
Lori Ballard has racked up 4589 hours since August of 2019. Lori is a 1st-grade teacher and a mother of three children. When her Marine was in middle school he said he wanted to join the military. Her son told her he wanted to be “the best of the best” and chose the Marines.
Dana Powell has volunteered since April 2019 and has logged 4051 hours in that time. Dana is a single mom of three who lives in Missouri with her two other children. Her oldest son expressed an interest in the military, Marines to be exact, since the age of 14 and is now living his dream as a United States Marine!
