Alicia is a proud Marine Mom originally from Mexico, She has lived in the United States since 1989 and currently resides in Arizona. Alicia has 3 children, her older daughter, her son and the youngest Coco, (her fur baby. Her children are her life, so with her two children being away from home and her son being in the Marines, this is a whole new experience but she wishes to help others and encourage them as well as receive help and encouragement for herself.
Alicia's family has a long history of military service, mostly in the Army with her Father being in the Colegio Militar de Mexico (Heroic Military Academy). Her Marine has wanted to in the military ever since he was a little boy. He has always had a fascination with the military and serving his country. He left for boot camp soon after high school. While in boot camp her Marine was injured and had did not finish on the original graduation date. He was there for 11 months. With minimum communication and not knowing how he was doing when she could see her Marine again, Alicia sought advice and help, so here she is.
She now volunteers at Marine Parents en Español, not only to support other families but also to help herself. She wishes to share her experience with others and for anyone who going through what she did, she wishes to lead the way for them. It also makes her feel proud to be a Marine Parent and support her Marine in his career to give his freedom to all of us.
