Marine Parent and Volunteer
Recruit Parents Facebook Groups Volunteer,
Total Volunteer Hours 1st & 2nd Quarter of 2018: 424.41! Richard has been a volunteer with MarineParents since 2015 and currently serves as the Group Leader for both Hotel Company, San Diego and the Marine Dads' group. As a Group Leader Richard's duties include writing posts for the groups, answering any questions that may arise, watching for inappropriate postings, reporting these posts to the appropriate persons in the chain of command, and other tasks and duties. Richard also makes sure to stay on top of his training and read daily posts from the administration with information that is helpful in the execution of his duties.
Richard has been happily married to my his wife, Lisa, for over 24 years. Richard and Lisa have three children, two boys and a girl. Their oldest child is their daughter and one son, a few years younger. Their youngest son is their Marine. He graduated recruit training in December of 2015.
Richard lives in the high desert in Hesperia, California and in addition to volunteering with Marine Parents, he enjoys fishing, reading, and spending time with family. Richard enjoys volunteering with MarineParents because he enjoys helping recruit families. When Richard was going through the roller coaster of having a child in boot camp he found it very helpful and comforting knowing that he had a place to go to get his questions answered and knowing he had somewhere to share his feelings. Richard is a firm believer in "paying it forward" and volunteering with Marine Parents allows him to accomplish that goal.
