Unit Information

The 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion is a reserve mechanized battalion. It's mission is to land surface assault elements of a landing force and their equipment during amphibious operations, and to conduct mechanized operations and related combat support in subsequent operations ashore.

The AAB is comprised of: H&S Co (Tampa, FL), Alpha Co (Norfolk, VA), Alpha Co,3d Plt (Gulfport, MS), Bravo Co (Jacksonville, FL) and Bravo Co, 3d Plt (Galveston, TX).

Family Readiness Information

The primary source of unit/battalion information for spouses AND parents is the Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) and Unit Hotline. The DRC will work with FR Assistants, FR Advisors and FR Volunteers along with the senior command members to make up the new Family Readiness Command Team.
