Tara lives in Colorado in a small town in the country and loves animals. She loves riding horses, camping, and hanging out with her children at the lake. Tara is a single mom to 5 adult children: 3 daughters and identical twin sons, her youngest. She also has 7 grandchildren, whom she loves very much. Tara's twin sons have both joined the Marines; one graduated from MCRD San Diego in 2025, and the other will leave for boot camp in the summer of 2026. Tara is so proud of all of her children, but could not be prouder of her sons for joining the Marines.
Tara joined MarineParents when her Marine just left for boot camp and found the information and support the groups provided to be a godsend. Feeling so grateful to the volunteers that helped and guided her through those early days that were very emotionally difficult, and to also be there to celebrate with her after the Crucible, Tara decided that volunteering to help other recruit and Marine families would be a way to pay it forward and repay the volunteers that helped and supported her. She truly loves being a part of MarineParents.
