Laura is joining us from the South Carolina Lowcountry. She has lived there with her family her entire life. She has become accustomed to the humidity, gnats, and mosquitos. Laura is a full-time paramedic and a part-time 911 dispatcher and firefighter. On her days off, she enjoys being with her family. For fun, Laura enjoys going to the beach, fishing, and, of course, mud-bogging. She has two children, one boy and one girl, and recently married the love of her life. Laura also has several 4-legged fur babies. Laura's marine just started his journey in the USMC, but he loves every minute. Like any anxious mother, she enjoys hearing from him and listening to the stories he tells. And most importantly, she loves to hear about his accomplishments.
When Laura's Marine was starting his training, she found the MarineParents.com Facebook group. She was inspired to volunteer as a way to support her son and to pay it forward to other new Marine parents. She knows everyone's experience will be different, but she wants to share her experience and help any other anxious loved ones.
