Total Service Hours in 2024: 189.23
Melissa and her husband live in Southeast Texas and have two sons. Her oldest son is a certified Quartermaster and Search and Rescue swimmer in the Navy and is currently working on a Business degree. Her youngest son is a Marine and just completed MOS. He is currently in the Reserves and working at the recruiting substation. Melissa is an Elementary PE Coach and has worked in education for 10 years and enjoys gardening, biking, and traveling.
Melissa decided to join MarineParents as a volunteer after her son became a Marine and started the volunteer training program once school was out. She was so gratefully impacted with the organization and knowledge of the volunteers, and the boot camp Facebook group that she wanted to help give other parents and families the same positive support and experience she had.
