Brenda is originally from Philadelphia, PA, and has been living in Southern California since 2000 with her husband and 3 children. She is the proud mother of two daughters and one son. Brenda’s son decided at a very early age to serve in the military and shortly after he turned 17 he entered the DEP program and started down the path of earning the title of Marine. Outside of proudly sporting the title of MoM, much of her downtime is spent at the shooting range where she volunteers her time for a youth shooting team and taking care of her fur-babies.

When Brenda and her son left the recruiter’s office after their first meeting, she had a seemingly endless list of questions suddenly pop in her head. She hit the internet to do some research and found MarineParents.com. She joined the Poolee group immediately and found the answers to her questions and more importantly, the support she needed to navigate this world her son has chosen. With the support and guidance from the volunteers and other members of Marine Parents, she discovered a path to pay it forward and volunteer her time to help educate and support others throughout their Marine’s careers and beyond.
