Group Guide Charlie Company (Parris Island)
Marine Parent and Volunteer
Recruit Parents Facebook Groups Volunteer,
Marine Parents Facebook group volunteer Diana Dungan is a Proud Marine MoM from New Hampshire. She is a volunteer Group Guide for the Parris Island Charlie group which holds special meaning since her Marine son graduated Charlie Company on Parris Island last year.
Diana is not new to military life, as she has a long list of family whom have proudly served our Country. She is however a first time Marine MoM and couldn’t be more proud. Her experience has been very different being on this side of the fence and from that experience she would love to help others through their own journeys as our sons, daughters and loved ones pass through the phases of the USMC.
Diana is a nurse working in administration. She calls New Hampshire home and has 5 adult children. One currently serving, one in college, the others all settled and raising families. Prior to calling New Hampshire home, Diana was born and lived in various places as a military “brat”. She learned the fine art of adapt and overcome first hand, moving around with her family as a child but those lessons have served her well over the years. In addition to her “human” children, Diana also has 2 “fur babies,” Emma and Gunner, labs that keep her busy. Diana’s Marine son has moved through the Poolee stage, through recruit, finished secondary training and specialty school and is now a part of the fleet at his PDS.
Diana volunteers on Marine Parents to be a support and help others on the roller coaster journey as our kids pass through the phases of the Corps. She herself has used these pages over the last few years to find information as well as much needed support. She loves to help others and this platform is the perfect place to support and encourage others on their own personal journey.
