Marlee’s Grandfather served in the Army during the Korean War. Her dad served in
the Navy
during Vietnam, and both her aunt and uncle served in the Air Force. Recently, her
Marine
added another Airman to their family when he got married! Both of them are
stationed in
North Carolina. Marlee’s next oldest son is currently studying Cyber Security at the
University of Texas at San Antonio, and her two youngest are still at home. Her
husband is a
general manager for a local company, and she works from home for the same
company.
After a tough time during boot camp, due to the struggle of covid restrictions, Marlee
felt
called to volunteer with MarineParents.com, giving a different experience for
members. After
years of volunteering with her children’s organizations, this gave her a connection to
her
Marine’s world and expanded her Marine family immensely! Being connected to new
friends,
who understand what it is like to be a military family has been priceless to her.
Today, she
continues to share what she has learned with new families and continues to grow
her
extended Marine family thanks to her volunteering with MarineParents.com.
