The package of 'condiments'
Tobasco, matches, TP, Sugar, Wetwipe, Creamer, Salt, Coffee, Gum
Yes, this is the toilet paper.
Breaded chicken patty, noodles, crackers, pastry, peanut butter, hot cocoa
The crackers: very dense, no salt, unbroken. 180 calories.
Tube of peanut butter. Knead the package before opening. It was okay.
I used the spoon to spread the peanut butter.
Toaster Pastry: Very dense, cinnamon and brown sugar maybe, but not real sweet. 200 calories.
This is the breaded chicken patty in curry flavored sauce.
Noodles in buttered flavored sauce.
Chemical heating unit; tough for me to figure out. Just me though I'm sure.
That little photo of the MRE propped up says to put it against a "rock or something".
I added my water, the chicken pack and the noodle pack. Now, wait 15 minutes.
It got very hot, and you could "hear" the chemicals heating. This is my "something" that I used to prop it.
Okay...while I waited the 15 minutes I nuked some water for the hot cocoa. (Not authentic I know.)
Trying to mix the cocoa powder in.
Tasteless...I added the creamer and the coffee.
Stirring, stirring, stirring...
Still needed a kick, so I added the 4 grams of sugar.
The "damp" proof matches.
They worked in my home. Trying to kill time waiting for my "dinner" to heat up.
This is my first view of the now-hot chicken packet. The yellow glow is the curry and tomatoes.
I assume they eat it out of the bag in the field...I opted for a plate.
The sauce had tomatoes, green pepper, currants, curry, a little bit sweet. I think it had slivered almonds but it was hard to determine.
It actually didn't look too bad and it was kinda tasty.
The buttered noodles...I spit my taste out.
And that was my MRE experience. Not so bad. But I don't recommend the noodles.
