Dear Marine Corps Family,
If this is the first edition of the MarineParents.com
Newsletter you have received, WELCOME! If you are
a returning reader we are glad you have joined us.
We thank you for your support and hope that we can
support you.
With the fifth anniversary of 9/11 around the corner,
we ask our Marine Corps families to remember this
day by flying the American flag on Monday,
September 11, 2006. Many national, state, and local
groups are holding candle light vigils at sunset across
the nation. Please join in this day of memory and
honoring those who lost their lives on that day.
Marines to Recall Troops

IRR: Individual Ready Reserves
With the news of the Marine Corps recalling troops to
active duty, we have many families with questions
about how that may affect their Marine. We've
developed a page on the web site with answers to
these questions, news stories, resources and a
discussion group.
