Dear Marine Corps Family,

What an exciting time at MarineParents.com, Inc.! We've got a ton of new stuff to talk about in this week's newsletter. We've got new projects, new services, new books, new photos, and all kinds of things to share with you. Be sure to read all the way to the bottom of the newsletter so you won't miss out on anything!

Operation PAL™

Supporting Injured Marines with Prayers and Letters
Dylan and President Bush

We have a new project called Operation PAL™ (Prayers and Letters): Prayers And Letters. We offer support to our injured Marines through prayers and letters sent to them at hospitals around the world. You can make a difference. We would like you to send your Prayers and Letters to the Marines. This project will provide you with names and mailing addresses. Also, if you know of an injured Marine who needs support through Prayers and Letters, please let us know.

On April 13 this year, Marine Dylan was injured with 19 others in a mortar attack in Karmah, Iraq. Operation PAL™ offered prayers and letters to support Dylan during recovery from his injuries. Above is a photo of Dylan and his family at the White House with the President and First Lady.

Events Around the U.S.

Calendars of Upcoming Events & Rallies
Support The Troops Rally

Check out the calendar to see what's coming up in your state! We've added an "Events" calendar to the web site. If you know of an event to be held somewhere in the U.S. that should be added to the calendar, please let us know. We'll include items of interest to Marine Corps and military personnel and families, including the Marine Corps Marathon, Bootcamp Challenge, statue dedications, and conferences. From the events page, you can also access the "Support Our Troops Rally" page as well.

Passion of Command

Passion of Command: The Moral Imperative of Leadership, By Colonel Bryan P. McCoy

I highly recommend this book to every parent of a Marine. You will read a first-hand account of what your Marine's commander teaches and instills in the hearts and minds of our Marines. You will come away with an understanding of the love and brotherhood of the Marine Corps; from the battalion commander to the privates.

All proceeds from the sale of this book go to the Semper Fi Wounded Marine Fund.

Bootcamp Graduation

We've put new page of information online for families of recruits attending bootcamp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California. The new page highlights the events of graduation, including the current schedule of events, places to see, and places to shop. Photos include the graduation ceremony as well as photos of different landmarks of the Depot and family hugs during Family Day.

MarineParents.com, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity. MarineParents.com, Inc. was founded in January, 2003 in response to parents' needs to find information and to Connect & Share™ with one another during deployments. Our free online services and connections have expanded to support and educate Marine moms & dads, spouses, families and friends and we're now offering the Annual National Conference. We've helped over 30,000 Marine and recruit families during bootcamp, training, active duty and deployments. We've shipped thousands of care packages overseas to our Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan.
