Kim Kaye Zaloudek
Group Leader in training Golf Company (San Diego)
Marine Parent and Volunteer
Recruit Parents Facebook Groups Volunteer,
Kim began volunteering with MarineParents in January of 2016, initially serving as a Platoon Parent for 2nd Battalion, Golf Company, San Diego. Kim then moved into the position of Group Guide and currently serves with 2nd Battalion Golf Company, San Diego. She is now the Group Leader. Kim works closely with the members of Golf Company, providing encouragement, support, and direction. She feels that it is an honor to be able to give back by helping family and friends adjust to the military life.
Kim's son is following in his grandfather's footsteps. Kim's father served in WWII as a Marine Corps Sniper. Kim and her husband also have an older daughter who is married. In addition to volunteering with Marine Parents, Kim and her husband are fourth generation farmers and ranchers in Oklahoma. Prior to working with Marine Parents, Kim was a school teacher for thirty years.
Volunteering with Marine Parents helped Kim feel connected to her Marine while he was in boot camp and Kim believes that being involved with Marine Parents as a volunteer is a constant learning and growing experience. Serving as a volunteer was also a natural progression for Kim, as she likes to give back and help other families realize that they too are now part of the incredible bond of being a Marine Corps Family.
