Hello Marine Corps Families!

Support for family members experiencing the stresses of having a loved one in the military, whether during bootcamp, deployment or the daily grind, is important. In this issue, we'll show you where to search for a support group in your local community, as well as provide you with information on starting a local support group if your community does not offer one. You'll also find information to help family members who may be experiencing stress from ongoing military actions and continued deployments.

MarineParents.com has been recognized as an exemplary organization by President George W. Bush, General Michael W. Hagee, Commandant, USMC, and the Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld. Our performance as a premier support organization is carried into our 2006 MarineParents.com Annual Conference, April 21-23, in Houston, Texas. Join us for an opportunity of connecting and sharing, education, support, and fun!

Support Groups

We have over 65 support groups listed and add more each week. If you are part of a support group, please encourage your coordinator to add the support group to our database. If you don't find a support group in your area, consider developing a new group. We offer some helpful information for getting started.

Coping with War Related Stress

Information for Military Families and Communities
Solo Marine Combat

While our country is at war, Americans may experience varying amounts of grief and fear. Nobody is unaffected by war. In military families, however, there is the added fear for the safety of loved ones who may be or already have been deployed, as well as the potential challenges of coping as a single parent.
